The phase range from Spanish league is not over yet, but the truce is still an opportunity to take stock of what has happened since August on the other side of the Pyrenees. Leading the standings, Barcelona and Real Madrid are neck-to-elbow and already ahead of the competition. If after Seville and Valencia, Atlético Madrid and Villarreal are struggling. With the participation of Carmen Colino, news editor at the Spanish sports daily AS, Football.fr back on the main lessons of the first five months of competition.

Barça did not weaken

The Blaugrana are surfing on their momentum last season. And emerge as the main favorites in their own succession. A truce, and a few days after winning the World Championship clubs, training Catalan is leading the Primera Liga by two points ahead of Real. Described in the fourth round of the Champions League, the troops of Pep Guardiola impress. But sometimes let see some failures.

"Barcelona is always as strong, but on some games, we saw players very vulnerable, sometimes low, said Carmen Colino, news editor at the Spanish sports daily AS. That leaves Real opportunities to dominate the race Title. " Except that Barça has corrected one of his only flaws of last season. With only 9 goals against the Catalan rearguard leaves little chance for competition. And the Blaugrana are still unbeaten in the league this season.

The Galactic star coup

Only Real managed to keep pace infernal printed by the leader blaugrana. Better, with 40 goals on the meter after 15 days, the Merengues left on bases hallucinating that should lead to a record if they continue on their average.

What claim coronation, although the Galacticos had taken a little adjustment period early in the season. "Everything is still possible, says Carmen Colino. This year the championship is bipolar and it will be tighter than in 2008-2009." In such cases, the interplay of direct confrontation is often the last word. Problem for Real, Barca won the first (1-0), at the 12th day at Camp Nou. Load the Merengues to catch up next April 11.

The waste of Villarreal and Atletico

With Seville and Valencia, Villarreal and Atletico Madrid are the outsiders in normal Liga. But if the first two, respectively third and fourth place, keep their ranks, the partner of Robert Pires and those of Sergio Agüero disappoint. "Atlético have yet the best attacking duo in the league, with" Kun "and Diego Forlan," said Carmen Colino.

This does not Rojiblancos to develop a game "mediocre" and "slow" as our guest. Fifteenth of classification Madrid are still seeking a second wind. In contrast to Villarreal, who had a nightmare start to the season but began gradually slope. "The departure of Manuel Pellegrini for their Real has done much harm, says the expert of AS. They put a lot of time to find a good style of play they are better now, but they are well capable of better and will have to quickly find the right solutions. "

Like many other players in Ligue 1, Asamoah Gyan will put aside the French championship in January to focus on the African Cup of Nations 2010, to be held in Angola. The Ghanaian striker from Rennes was already an adventure in 2008 when the Black Stars came third in their CAD. After a difficult first season at the club in 2008-2009 Breton, the former Udinese player is currently under the spotlight in France. What happen confident in Angola.

Asamoah Gyan is a man of firsts. At the 2006 World Cup, he scored the first embodiment of the history of Ghana in the finals of the World Cup. By paying the luxury of beating the record for fastest goal, all nations together in competition. Two years later, during the CAN 2008, it is the first tournament to find the net. An African Cup of Nations which was also held with him, but at which the Black Stars could not get the bronze medal.

In Angola, the Rennes striker hopes about such offensive success. At the top of his form with the Breton club for which he has already found fault 8 times in 19 games, "Baby Jet" was full of confidence before the appointment biennium. And it will take to avoid unpleasant surprises in group B rather pointed. Côte d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso and Togo are on the menu for the Black Stars.

At the heart of a controversy in late November

Asamoah Gyan remains to be as effective in selection. A selection that he had indirectly gained some problems recently. The cause: his presence on the field during the victory against the SRFC Mans (2-1), November 21 in the league, then he withdrew the opposition between Ghana and Angola, three days before. However, the FIFA regulations clearly states that International, which said package to a meeting with his selection does not play within five days. Although the Breton proclaims his good faith, the outcome of the imbroglio, however, is still not known. The Appeal Board of the League has placed the matter under advisement.

Charge to the former Udinese player to put aside his worries and concentrate fully on the due date of January. And to use his good form with the Red and Black a few months after taking the first negative balance of its 2008-2009 season, his first with Rennes. "The season has been difficult for me, he conceded the club's official website last May. I had to fight back at the best possible level, but I never got my level best. I ' have not scored many this year, it's very difficult for an attacker. Seven months have passed since that admission of failure. Seven months during which Asamoah Gyan has worked to prepare the CAN and World Cup 2010. And especially in the optical pick Angola title that eluded him at home two years ago.

League 1 has entertained fans for 5 months of competition and 19 days before the truce confectioners. The time is right to establish the ongoing mid-term, with the recruits most disappointing. Landed in Spain to finish their careers in France, Gudjohnsen and Morientes have not met the requirements of their new league. Lucho Gonzalez, most expensive rookie in the history of OM, has yet to adapt to local conditions, while the side of the OL, Gomis is a flop and Bastos is disappointing compared to its purchase price.

1. Eidur Gudjohnsen (Monaco, released by FC Barcelona)
The ASM thought a bargain. The club of the Rock is featured with a disability sports and financial. Liberated by Barca, the Icelanders wanted to live a peaceful end on the Rock. He had underestimated the French championship and his tactical discipline. After you've tried 8 times, including 6 as holder (for no goals scored), Guy Lacombe has rejected the 31 years. Six months and then goes away?

2. Fernando Morientes (OM, out of contract at Valencia)
As Gudjohnsen, the Spanish came free after bench Liga during his last season at Valencia. At 33 years, "Moro" is only the shadow of the flamboyant player of Real Madrid and AS Monaco in 2004. Unable to impose his game head and lack of trust, a protege of Deschamps is a flop or a drag on the OM, which must now recruit another striker.

3. Vedran Corluka (OL, recruited 15 million euros in Saint-Etienne)
AS Saint-Etienne and its supporters are rubbing their hands. And even now bawling. OL How could he buy Bafe Gomis up to 15 million euros? A year ago, after an exceptional season of success for the Panther, the Greens demanded the same amount to the OM Pape Diouf. Gomis, who had started well and that can weigh on an opposing defense is an obvious blunder. And even if he has succeeded in establishing important goals (with a little success or being offside), Puel was relegated to the bench correctly.

4. Lucho Gonzalez (OM, recruited 18 million euros at FC Porto)
For his biggest transfer in history, the OM had decided to build a playmaker who is soon 29 years. But leaders Marseille had not expected that the Argentine international would be operational in 2010. His passing game is fine, but the former captain of Porto has not yet adapted to League 1, which leaves very little space to favorites. Its slowness and its presence may hamper the OM, have to evolve in a system built for him. This flop should not turn into failure.

5. Eduardo Costa (Monaco, recruited 2.5 million euros in Sao Paulo)
Four years later, the Ligue 1 found Eduardo Costa. One of the OM, not that of Bordeaux. Arriving from São Paulo FC, catchy showed early recovery mediocre, completely overwhelmed by the speed events. Teaching early season, it is gradually removed from the eleven, before his injury. Gosso Nkoulou and do a better job.

6. Junichi Inamoto (Rennes, out of contract in Frankfurt)
Frederic Antonetti has hosted one of his old acquaintances dating from his exile in Japan for the season 98-99. And Junichi Inamoto could leave quickly to find playing time with the approach of the World Cup. At the end of the contract after two seasons mixed in Frankfurt, the former Arsenal player spotted by failed to impose its aggressiveness. His exclusion during the 2nd day (despite a good performance) and then the explosion of young Yann Mvila have quickly returned to the bench.

7. Michel Bastos (OL, recruited 18 million euros LOSC)
As Lucho, it was expensive. As Lucho, he has disappointed. Party hats on wheels, old Mastiff has completely disappeared from circulation in the fall, being too selfish. His exceptional ball strikes could forget Juninho in the coming seasons, but the influence of the Brazilian left, may be broken by the first selection should be much higher. The OL was still recruited to 18 million euros and do not expect to end up with a second Kader Keita on the arm.

8. Jody Viviani (Grenoble, recruited 500 000 in Saint-Etienne)
At 35, Ronan Le Crom dreamed of ending up in the shoes of an owner. Wish granted. Supposed to take over from Gregory Wimbée Jody Viviani never showed reassuring. Former Stéphanois took six days for "benchmark, but the sinking of his group, with 14 goals conceded, has not played in his favor. Le Crom took over, to give more serenity to the defense of the red lantern.

9. Didier Ovono (Le Mans, recruited Dinamo Tbilisi)
Yohann Pele has left a great void. This is true to say. To replace the great goalkeeper party, free, near Toulouse, MUC 72 has confidence in his new coach. Paulo Duarte, a connoisseur of African Football, has brought Didier Ovono Dinamo Tbilisi, Georgia champion in 2008. The custodian of Gabon has stepped approximations, including air, so much so that the young Georgian Georgi Makaridze was launched in the deep end.

10. Anthony Mounier (Nice recruited 2.5 million euros to the OL)
At the gates of the red zone, OGC Nice will be transformed during the return phase. However, the Eaglets can count on two arrows offensive trained OL. Party club trainer to receive benefit of playing time, Anthony Mounier has become an inefficient incumbent Gym. The former international hopes did not record any purpose of his left leg.

Jean-Pierre Papin found a bench at Chateauroux. (Reuters) Jean-Pierre Papin found a bench at Chateauroux. (Reuters)
Jean-Pierre Papin is back on a bench. After his departure from RC Lens after the descent into League 2 in 2008, the Ballon d'Or 1991 was without a club. A time announced in Strasbourg, it is ultimately the LB Châteauroux the technician of 46 years will raise. League Round of 2 to two points of relegation zone, the Castelroussins appealed to JPP for out of this predicament, after the resignation of Dominique Bijotat, December 23. This will be the 4th club Papin as coach.

"We inform you that Jean-Pierre Papin has to engage with Berrichonne Football as a coach." So the club Chateauroux formalized Tuesday on its website, the arrival of JPP on the bench castelroussin. The Berrichonne, 16th in League 2, has opted for the former technician Lens while Bernard Casoni was also claiming the position. Following another defeat against Ajaccio (1-2), December 22, coach Dominique Bijotat had resigned.

Papin: "I am happy to plunge"

In recent weeks, Jean-Pierre Papin was also in contact with Strasbourg, he was already back in L1 during the 2006-2007 season. The case seemed well made. But having received no guarantees in recruiting, the coach of 46 years decided not to sign in Alsace. Looking for a coach, the club chaired by Patrick Le Seyec has thought about the former star of French football. Papin was without a club since his bad experience Lens, punctuated by a descent in L2, in 2008. He can not wait to return to the land. "I'm happy to plunge, I really wanted. I think that I go back to zero, with a contract for eighteen months and a young team that deserves to be interested in her," Did he said with our colleagues in South-West.

Still unbeaten in the first six games of the season, and even leading the evening of the 3rd and 4th days, then multiplied Chateauroux poor performance until the indignity of a Cup Elimination of France, facing Saumur (3 -1) (FSC), November 21. To make matters worse, the team has, to the truce, the worst defense in Ligue 2 with 30 goals conceded. Chateauroux and has won two of his last sixteen league games! The hemorrhage of "The Berri" must be stopped, and offered a beautiful site at the former Olympique Marseille player. However, it prefers to retain the positive and the fact that the team has been ahead in August: "I come, I am no position to judge what happened before. This team has been head League 2 in the top league, it has potential. I must help him find a positive state of mind ".

What objectives for JPP?

For the former coach of FC Bassin d'Arcachon (CFA 2), the group mentality will be crucial for success: "The mindset is crucial in Ligue 2. In Strasbourg, it was what made the difference . Châteauroux has many young players, I like that: they push all in the same direction, it can hurt. "

Jean-Pierre Papin will be the sixth coach Berrichonne five years, a club looking so even stability. JPP has signed for 18 months, enough to save the club in 2010 and considered the best next year. But the Golden Ball hopes to do better, starting this season, but play continued: "Resume of points very quickly away from the trap down, and why not go tickle the top of the table. I do speaks not rise: initially, do not dream!. " Understandably, however, that the attainment of elite would be the target of 2011.

Find the L1 is in any case the purpose of attacking the old, with or without Chateauroux. "All in good time. Quite a challenge waiting for me already in the Berry! First I write a story there. In this environment, anything can go very quickly, do not throw too much" said Papin at Southwest, while specifying only lead one days Bordeaux would interest him living in the Bordeaux region: "The Girondins have become a reference. Who would Bordeaux today? Yes, of course it interest me. But this is not news. First rendezvous of men of JPP to move up the hierarchy, January 15, at Sedan.

Football fans invent some things new everyday in order to enjoy watching the football matches with their friends. Now, they believe football betting on spreads gives you a million fortunes. They think that they can win the bet every time they do it but the process is not like this. There are rules and steps they have do and think about it.
First of all, sports bookmakers' advice gamblers to place a $100 bet as a start. Although this seems like the best way to start, you can collect your own sum of bet. Usually, professionals place as much as $20,000 per game while online sports bettors place as low as $1. It is really up to you with the amount you want to place.
Second, you have to locate the best bet outlet. If you are near the gambling capital like Las Vegas, you do not need to go far. If you live far from gambling cities, you may need to search for a bookie, which is a person who arranges wagers. If you are really that busy or far from the gambling locations, well, you might want to try betting online. Whatever the most convenient outlet may be for you, take it. As long as you can manage the outlet you have chosen, you'll stand a good chance with your bet.
Third, you have to find the best wager. The most common football wager is the point spread. Here, people favor the strong team over the weak team. They will study the team who seems to outweigh the other team and carefully predict the triumph of their bet for that team. This is the easy wager. Some wagers are composed of seasons or leagues. The wagers depend on your patience of studying the best team playing.
Fourth, you have to fall in line and call for your bet. Of course, you will choose to bet over the winning team. Choosing seems like the easy part when it comes predicting who will win. Actually, this is not true. You need to carefully focus on the team's ranks, picks, and the team player scores. Here you will know who the best player is and whether or not your team is really the best. When you're predicting the best team, you need proofs so you're really sure about placing that bet. While football bet sports is on the rise, you should still be careful about placing bets.
Starting with a wager still costs you more than a penny. For instance, if you place a bet of $10, it is likely that you will arrive with a $9.10 payoff. Hence, if you want $10 in your pocket, place a bet of $11. Sport bookmakers usually get their commission with your bets because this is their way of making profit. So, do not get surprised. As I have said earlier, making bets with the winning team is expected. This is referred to as the "house advantage." It is one of the oldest ways to bet but it still works.

Always remember that placing your bet sports do not only mean looking at ranks, picks, types of wagers, and starting bet. In the end, it's about how well you manipulate all of these factors that matters. Football game is one hard bet. It does not only take your capital away from you. It also plays with your emotions, so, take a hold of it.
As a conclusion, this article includes the right steps for football betting. You can save your money by following those rules till you become a good bettor.

Barcelona is one of the biggest clubs in the world which was founded in 1899 by a group of Swiss, English and Spanish men led by Joan Gamper. The club has become a Catalan institution, hence the motto "Més que un club" (More than a club). The official Barça anthem is El Cant del Barça by Josep Maria Espinàs. It considers the most successful club in Spanish football after Real Madrid and in Europe as well, having won nineteen La Liga titles, a record twenty-five Spanish Cups, eight Spanish Super Cups, four Eva Duarte Cups and two League Cups. This team and have had more than their fair share of top name managers over the years, but they took a chance this year and appointed former player Joseph Guardiola as manager.
Guardiola was a fantastic player, spending most of his playing days at Barcelona and captained Johan Cryuff’s ‘dream team when Barcelona won their first European Cup. He has not recreated this success as manager and looks like having the potential to be one of the greats in the next generation of managers.

There is no doubt that Guardiola has a star studded team at his disposal but he made a bold move at the start of the season selling Ronaldinho and bringing in a few lesser known players to make his mark on the team. His achievements this year have been fantastic, especially since so many wanted him to fail as a result of his inexperience.

Even with the loss of Ronaldinho, Guardiola still has Messi, Eto’o, Henry, Xavi and Iniesta, to name but a few, at his disposal so he did inherit a string team but it is a team that hadn’t won La Liga since 2006 and one that many people had started to doubt could win the title.

Guardiola has certainly not put himself out there as a potentially future great manager and if he can continue to show the qualities and winning mentality that he has shown this season then there is no doubt that he will fulfil his potential.
That former player and the recent manager is great one with a smart wet who will guide Barcelona to the right way. If they become as one and cooperate with their new manager, they will achieve more success and glory. They already have a good reputation and Guardiola will make it bigger and better.

Many young boys begin to love playing football from their house when they grow up seeing that their father or older brother cheering their favorite team. Others have this game and start to think to be a famous player like any football player or his football player hero. Parents should increase this desire in their kid from their youth by register them in football clubs to learn the basic drills of football game. In the following article, there are some football drills which begin with the most important one, defensive pursuit.
Then most critical drill to a successful team defense is defensive pursuit. Often a team will have some players who naturally excel at this and others who do not seem to naturally grasp the proper angles and speeds required to intercept a ball carrier. This disparity makes the overall team defense weak. Remember, a chain is only as strong as its weakest link!
The second one is at a walking pace and with a minimal number of with all the distractions removed. By starting at a walking pace and with only one, single offensive player (the ball carrier), I have found that even the players who are initially "lost" can begin grasp what is required of them to contribute to great team pursuit.
I start with that following youth football drill that I call "11 vs. 1: Don't Touch the One". Basically this means that beginning at a walking pace, the defense only has the one offensive ball carrier to adjust to. Without the distraction of the other offensive players, and the added complications of containment, etc. players are able to naturally determine what angles and speeds they have to take to reach the "one." Obviously the "Don't Touch the One" part means that the defensive eleven are not crush tackling the lone ball carrier. Drill Setup:
Prior to doing this drill at any speed I explain to the players the speed of the ball carrier, the player's own speed and how far away the ball carrier is, are the three factors that influence each kid's proper angle of pursuit. Then the eleven defensive players take their positions. On a snap (from a stationary/invisible center) the defensive players all take their initial penetration steps. The ball carrier then walks to and then up the sideline, while all the defensive players adjust their angles of pursuit.
Once this is mastered at a walking pace you can quickly progress to a jogging pace and ultimately a full speed pursuit. Most kids will quickly understand what the drill is trying to accomplish and so while you should not have to spend too long at a walking pace, it’s important to start there.

After knowing all these drills to be a good player from youth, you can begin by applying them with your kid to achieve their dream. They are very simple for their age and they can progress very fast with those drills.

The passion of football fashion is rising all over the world with football fans. They tend always to buy the outfit of their team or the t-shirt with the number of their favorite player. Also, teams try to design the best outfit for them and try to be the best. This competition among teams seems like a fashion show. In this article, you can know how the passion of these outfits increase.

The latest fashion phenomenon in London, Paris, Madrid, Tokyo, Beijing or Bangkok is not haute couture. Indeed, it seems that the latest fashion craze for both male and female throughout the cities of Europe and Asia is for football shirts. Track suits, trainers, polo shirts and ski jackets have all made the transition from the sports field to the street, but when it comes to football shirts being worn as street wear, one sport in particular stands head and shoulders above the rest. Football is undoubtedly the most popular team game in the world, with an ever growing number of countries participating in it. So, it’s hardly surprising that sports apparel has become such a popular fashion choice. Not only do fans get to advertise their allegiance to their team, but they also get to wear something that is light, comfortable, and easy to wash and it would seem, suitable for almost any occasion. Football shirts are the most popular items sold on eBay, with one shirt being sold every six minutes.

Dr Jack Fawbert, Senior Lecturer in Sociology at the University of Bedfordshire will tell us the reasons this increased global interest of football fashion. He believes that just as our ancestors were once part of a local tribe, we are now choosing to become a member of a global tribe and we show this by wearing the tribal colors, as represented by football shirts.“In our postmodern society, community is not something that should necessarily be understood by clearly recognizable geographical limits. Today, people pick and choose, and mix and match from identities available in the lifestyle marketplace, which have replaced the old working-class communities. It is a kind of do-it-yourself tribal culture and replica football shirts can be seen as signifiers of such cultural groupings.”

The current obsession for high profile players and their wives or girlfriends (WAGS) has also made the idea of belonging to a tribe or team ever more popular. In 2003, when David Beckham first joined Real Madrid, more than one million Beckham shirts were sold. Undoubtedly, the clubs are also well aware that their shirts are being worn by their fans and they try to design a look that will be popular. In 1996, Manchester United introduced a kit designed more with the fans, rather than the players in mind. The kit was grey, a color chosen because it was believed that it would look better worn with jeans than the traditional Manchester United red.

However, the kit color was soon abandoned as the team’s manager Alex Ferguson, complained that the new color was causing the team to lose because it meant that the players could no longer see each other clearly on the pitch. Yet, football shirts don’t come cheap. Rivaling the prices of designer fashion, a typical football shirt can cost around £50, even more if the shirt bears the number or name of a particular player. Combine this with the fact that a team changes its strip at least once each season and the cost of keeping up with this expensive trend soon adds up.

So, where does that leave the diehard fan or the local, amateur side, who want to look and feel like their professional idols? Fortunately, there are many alternative shirt brands now available, so there is a way of looking like your favorite football hero without having to take out a second mortgage. Purchasing online is always a great way to find a bargain. Companies such as www.footballsportsapparel.com often source their shirts straight from the same manufacturers as are used by the clubs. So you can get the right look and feel, but for a fraction of the high street price. You can even have your shirt customized to order or use your creative skills to design the kit for your own team.

With the global enthusiasm for football continually growing, the passion for football fashion is steadily increasing too. It seems that as long as there is football fans the craze for wearing sports apparel on the street, unlike other fashion trends, will never die. So, in its short life time the humble football shirt has come a long way. Beginning life simply as a way to distinguish one set of players from another, the football shirt has grown into a cultural phenomenon and more importantly to fans throughout the globe a must have fashion accessory.

As a conclusion, the passion of the football outreaches the fashion to the players’ families like their wives and kids. Also, they believe that the outfits and their color affect the team and its achievements and victories.

The most popular game in the world is football. There is nothing in the world of sports quite like a good football game. Some fans of football game are really crazy over it and spend most of their money on it. Many of people died or get a blood pressure from the football game. In most other countries of the globe, soccer is by far more popular.
Any one wants to play football has to have some qualities and skills such as strength, speed, power, athletic skills and dodge skills. You really can't play football unless you're really big. Getting a lot of really big guys in a society means the society as a whole has to eat a lot of food. As a matter of fact, if you go back just 20 years in the NFL, football players, although still quite a bit bigger than almost everyone else, were much smaller than they are now. The typical professional offensive lineman is 6 foot 5 inches and around 325 pounds. That's not just big, that is freaking huge. And in order to get enough guys that big who can also move, you've got to have a lot of big guys running around in their teens all over the country.
That's why you're probably never going to see very many football games in the Middle East, for example. You might be able to get a few fellows out of Germany or France, but even those societies just don't grow them as big as they do in Texas to say the least. But even a rabbit food munching state like Oregon turns out some really big fellows. With such a big pool of large men to draw from, football is more suited to them than a sport like swimming.
Also, football requires a rather large investment in equipment and other infrastructure before it can even be practiced properly. You can't run around on a dirt lot and get very good at it. And besides the equipment, you also can't get to an elite level of play without practicing with dozens of other players. There are very few football drills you can do by yourself, so a group of even 10 friends who love the sport are going to be hard pressed to really do much more than mimic an actual game.
But perhaps the biggest difference in football from other sports is the vast rule set that goes along with it. It's a whole lot more than men the size of bulls running into each other at top speed. Every single play requires a coordination of elements generally reserved for machines. It is 22 men being in very precise positions and then running to several other positions as fast as they can.
If you don't particularly like watching sports, it's probably likely that if you were stuck having to watch just one sport for the day you could live with a football game. Especially if it was the Super Bowl - everybody loves the commercials.
All these things make the football the most popular one in the world. Hopefully, after reading this article you know the reasons of its popularity and why a lot of people like it so much and can spend their time and money over it.

The history of Football Game
People all over the world like football games for many reasons. Some of them like to watch them only and others like to watch and play them at the same time. If you want to know about this game and its background, just read the following article.
The history of football is generally traced back to its beginnings in rugby, the English game that is very similar to football and soccer which also began in England back in the early 1800's. The college campuses of Ivy League schools all played similar variations of football through the mid 1800's. Then shortly after the end of the Civil War around the 1860's some of the colleges began playing organized football. Princeton University fro tiered some of the basic rules of football and the game became patented. To learn more watch football online. The first football game in college football history was then played in 1869 between Princeton and Rutgers with Rutgers as the victor thus producing football history.
After that, College Football History took another big step in 1873 when a number of colleges met to form the first rules of the game and established the amount of players on each squad. The coach for Yale, Walter Camp assisted the final step in the change from rugby style football to the American style. He limited the number of players to eleven on each team and sized the football field to 110 yards. He then created the downs system in 1882 which was originally three downs to gain 5 yards and then changed to 4 downs to gain 10 yards. Watch football online to find out about the details.

Without proper safety equipment at the time the sport had become extremely brutal and dangerous to all the players. There were even a number of deaths that had taken place in the sport. Professional football was first played around 1895 and in 1920 the APFA or American Professional Football Association was formed. It was renamed to what we all know today as the NFL or National Football League in 1922. The NFL started slow and in the mid forties only had ten teams. A major merger then took place in 1970 that combined the 16 NFL teams with the 10 AFL teams to make one large association with two conferences. The expansion continued to the now 32 team league and professional football has grown tremendously since its beginnings in 1869 from one college game to a billion dollar empire. Three Exercises for Football Explosiveness

Training is a very important thing for football player to give them the power and the strength they need in the playground. It requires everyday and before any match for the whole team. Fortunately, there are best three exercises that are good for football players. This is an article for strength and conditioning specialist and former assistant at the University of Georgia who talks about those three ones, which called kettle bell strength training. Check out the following 3 kettle bell lifts that should be a must in your strength program.
1. The Kettle bell Swing: This is the base strength endurance lift that is great for overall conditioning and building tremendous core strength. This lift is performed by you swinging the bell from between your legs up to chest level. The pulling motion of swinging the iron bell incorporates hundreds of muscles and challenges your cardiovascular system more than anything you have tried with in other form of weightlifting. You must execute a hip snap motion by flexing and extending at both your hips and knees in a continuous and fluent motion in order to build the necessary momentum to execute this lift. This hip drive is essential for the game of football!
2. The Single Arm Overhead Kettle bell Snatch: This particular lift is gruesome in its intensity! This is probably at the top of the lifts for superior kettle bell workouts. This lift is done by properly executing an explosive hip snap motion once again. However, you are only lifting the kettle bell with a single arm and allowing the bell to vertically fly up in front of your body by pulling your elbow high and lateral to your head. Once it reaches this high point laterally to your head then you complete the snatch by punching your palm to the sky locking out both your elbow and shoulder into place. This particular lift is tremendous for developing explosive leg power, core strength, and shoulder stability!
3. The Kettle bell Front Squat: For this kettle bell drill you can use a single bell or two bells of equal weight. From the floor between your legs simply clean the kettle bells to your chest. Make sure your squat stance is set and stable. From here simple perform a front squat going down until your elbows touch your knees. This is how you know you have good depth in the squat. Make sure you incorporate all three of these lifts into your kettle bell workout routines for optimal fitness and athletic performance. Train hard and enjoy my friend.
Those three kettle bell strength exercises are important for any player and can help him to improve his performance. They give the worthiness for football player to be the best player in the team and rewarded a lot of prizes and medals. Any player can follow those simple steps to develop his skills and abilities.

In the game of football, it is essential for players to receive proper training. If you (the player) want to excel, you must work with your coaches, not only on your training regimen, but also on what equipment is going to work best for you. Training with the proper football equipment will turn you into a better player and as a member on your team, you will bring your skills to the team, making it a better team. There is a tremendous variety of football equipment to use for training, but there are only a few items that are considered "core" pieces of equipment. You might think it a waste of money to invest in training equipment, or maybe you just need to know where to start?
First of all, you need to know this- the ultimate purpose of training equipment is to allow you and your team to be able to practice at a higher level of intensity without risking injury. Unless your trainers are flipping idiots, your potential for things like shoulder, neck, and head injuries are dramatically decreased when using things like blocking sleds and padded shields. Just these two pieces of equipment alone will allow you and your team to feel similar resistance to what you'll find on the field without having to crash head to head with another live body.
As mentioned earlier, there are just a few pieces of training equipment that, if you have them, you have an excellent start. These pieces of equipment coupled with proper coaching can quickly set you on the path to athletic excellence.
As mentioned earlier, blocking sleds are a necessity. This is without question. They allow for the simulation of real life blocking complete with weighted resistance of a real player (which leads to less of a chance for injuries for both players). Blocking sleds can usually be found in sporting equipment suppliers individually and even up to five blocking dummies on one sled. This option is perfect for simulating a line-up on the gridiron.
Or, if you want to make the simulation just a tad more realistic, perhaps for quick blocking drills. These are filled with foam typically, must for more weight; you can find them filled with sand or beans. The sand or bean filled ones are the best value. These pads are perfect for helping players learn how to take some real weight down with the risk of injuring a real person.
For quarter backs, you need to get yourself a good weighted football. I would I don't have to explain what these babies do, but I will anyways.
First of all, they're heavier than normal footballs (hence the name weighted football). These are great for giving a quarterback more resistance when throwing, which helps make their cannons more powerful for firing out quick and accurate spirals. (Work on your finger roll technique if your spirals are tight enough yet)
For your receivers, you're going to need or at least highly want; a jug machine. These babies fire spirals out at your receivers at varying speeds and heights without any rhyme or reason. The best of these machines have adjustable velocities and angles.
Can't forget about the kicker. Your kickers need going to be pretty basic, but just as essential as any other players. Remember, these are your clinch guys, treat them right! A regular kicking tee is great. No frills. get him practicing with a kick-off tee and a rubber block tee. The rubber block tee will help raise the height of the tee giving them better connection percentages.
And more importantly, unless you hate your kicker, get him a kicking / punting cage. You gonna want this guy to practice his kicks and punts more than his ability to fetch his own balls. (haha) These cages are netted and as long as the kicker is aiming correctly, the ball should land right in his parameter making it easier to set-up and try again.
For all players, there is going to be pieces of equipment which they should all have, but in varied types. For example:
Shoulder pads & helmets- Two pieces of equipment that are used frequently to identify the sport of football. These pieces of common place equipment are going to be varied depending on the position. If you're in a position where you're getting hit a lot, especially laterally, you're going to want to get some shoulder pads which can accept a good set of restrictors such as butterfly restrictors, neck rolls and lateral restrictors. If you're a lineman, get a helmet with some extra caging on it. Keep your opponents fingers out of your eyes. Kickers, you usually don't need much more than a single bar cage going across the front.
Gloves- Lineman and linebacker gloves have some extra padding which is perfect for their frequent contact with their hands. Unpadded hands connecting to hard plastic equipment is god-awful. Lineman and linebackers...ya need some good padded gloves!
For your wide receivers, you're going to want some gloves with a little extra stickiness. I shouldn't have to explain why.
Cleats- Whether you're getting screw-in or molded cleats, check the name and the quality. This is one area that a lot of players forget to pay real attention to. What height do you need? low, 3/4, high? That, as usual, depends on what position you;re playing. Still position players can get away with low-top cleats while lineman are going to be looking for high tops and 3/4 tops. You kickers, good ole soccer cleats will work just fine for you but here's a pro-tip, wear them a size smaller. It will make your task of kicking more compact and solid.
These are all core pieces of equipment. Stop by my blog for a minute and we'll take a look at some "nice to have" football training equipment.

Managing kids can be a challenge, add in teaching them athletic skills - sometimes can be next to impossible. Some adults can jump right in and gain the respect and devotion of the kids, while others have great intentions - but should really stick with being the supportive spectator on the sidelines. There are 3 key components to every practice for youth football: conditioning, drills, and scrimmaging. Incorporating these components will ensure a successful practice every time.

Conditioning is most important in the beginning of the season. The best conditioned your team is the more endurance they will have during a game - and the 4th quarter won't seem so long winded. Muscle wrap-ups, sprints and resistance training are all important to optimizing the body's performance. Drills are essential for teaching the basics of any sport, especially football. Repetitious drills can create muscle memory and be the difference between good players and great players. Scrimmaging allows the players to demonstrate their newly acquired skills to the coaches and show areas that need improvement. Scrimmages should be run with comments (good or bad) after each play; this gives the players immediate feedback and allows them to process their actions.

Practices should not be equally divided into conditioning, skills and scrimmages. The levels of the players and where you are at during the season should dictate how much time is spent on each area. For example, you would spend more time on conditioning at the beginning of the season and less on scrimmaging; and towards the end of the season it would be reversed.

Practices are meant to condition the athlete for endurance during games, build on their techniques through various drills, and allow them to put the pieces together before the big game during a scrimmage. Practice is essential for a successful season.

Three Keys for Kids’ Practicing

As we know, practicing is a very important thing in football game. Football players should practice every day in order to make an athletic body that enables them to master the game. Athletic body is the most important thing to football player and any one can have this one by practicing and follow a health food method. If all the players on the team have been practicing since their youth, the team will be the most successful one. By practicing, they can have a healthy body which makes them able to move easily with the ball in the stadium.

Il fera ses preuves lors de la saison qui va suivre puisqu'il disputera 17 matchs, inscrira 2 buts et délivrera deux passes décisives qui donnèrent la qualification en Ligue des Champions au TFC. It will prove during the season that follows since played 17 games, 2 goals will write and deliver two assists that gave the qualification in the Champions League at TFC. Ca restera d'ailleurs le meilleur souvenir de Paulo à Toulouse "Mon meilleur souvenir ? The last game against Bordeaux and qualification for the preliminary round of Champions League" (La Depeche de Midi) Mais lors des saisons qui vont suivre, Paulo Cesar va sombrer et finir par ne plus jouer. But during the seasons that follow, Paulo Cesar will sink and end up not playing. So to find playing time as the Brazilian returned to his native country. "I have not played much during the last season or this year. I preferred to go for game time and return a Brazilian public that I like. I'll finish my career there. Representatives from Marouane Chamakh are from England on Thursday to discuss with leaders of the English club West Ham. Les Londoniens auraient transmis vendredi une offre exceptionnelle à l'international marocain. The Londoners have sent Friday to offer exceptional Moroccan international. La réponse du joueur est attendue dans les prochaines 48 heures. The player's response is expected within the next 48 hours.

Chaque été propose son feuilleton sur le marché des transferts. Every summer has its series on the transfer market. La Ligue 1 n'a pas été en reste cette saison avec celui de l'attaquant des Girondins de Bordeaux , Marouane Chamakh (25 ans, 3 matches de Ligue 1 en 2009-10, 3 buts). League 1 has not been outdone this season with that of the attacker Girondins de Bordeaux, Marouane Chamakh (25, 3 Ligue 1 games in 2009-10, 3 goals). Auteur d'un excellent début de la saison avec son club, l'international marocain pourrait finalement être transféré à West Ham, au grand dam de son entraîneur Laurent Blanc, qui s'est toujours opposé à son départ. After an excellent start to the season with his club, the Moroccan international could eventually be transferred to West Ham, to the chagrin of his coach Laurent Blanc, who has always opposed his departure. La dernière proposition des dirigeants anglais serait sensiblement supérieure à l'offre de prolongation proposée par les Girondins à l'attaquant sous contrat jusqu'en juin 2010. The latest proposal of British leaders would be much higher than the offer of extension proposed by the Girondins to the attacker under contract until June 2010. Les Hammers lui offriraient un bail jusqu'en 2013, avec un salaire annuel qui passerait de 1 à 3 millions d'euros brut. The Hammers may be offered a lease until 2013 with an annual salary increase from 1 to 3 million euros gross. La semaine dernière, West Ham avait déjà proposé aux Girondins une indemnité de transfert globale d'environ 8 millions d'euros. Last week, West Ham had already proposed the Girondins a transfer fee of approximately 8 million euros. Une offre que les dirigeants bordelais étaient sur le point d'accepter avant que l'international marocain n'annonce son intention de poursuivre l'aventure avec les Marine et Blanc. An offer that leaders Bordeaux were about to accept before the Moroccan international announces its intention to continue the adventure with the Navy and White.

Un scénario renversant top^ A scenario stunning top ^

En fin de saison dernière, le joueur avait déjà affirmé son envie de quitter la Gironde pour l'Angleterre. At the end of last season, the player had already stated his desire to leave the Gironde for England. Des adieux émouvants et quelques heures auront ensuite suffi pour convaincre le joueur de rester jusqu'au terme de son contrat, un an plus tard. Bid a fond farewell and then a few hours will suffice to convince the player to stay until the end of his contract a year later. Mais après plusieurs semaines de silence, l'intérêt de certaines formations de Premier League, dont Arsenal et Sunderland, redonnera la parole à l'attaquant girondin qui se déclarait à nouveau intéressé par ces propositions. But after several weeks of silence, the interest of certain formations Premier League, including Arsenal and Sunderland, will restore the floor to the Gironde attacker who said again concerned by these proposals. Après l'abandon de la piste menant aux Gunners, l'entraîneur de Bordeaux , Laurent Blanc, aura une nouvelle fois le dernier mot en estimant que « l'intérêt du joueur était de rester dans un club jouant la Ligue des Champions » . After the abandonment of the track leading to the Gunners, the Bordeaux coach Laurent Blanc will once again have the last word in saying that "the interest of the player was staying in a club playing Champions League."

On croyait alors le feuilleton Marouane Chamakh définitivement refermé, jusqu'au dernier rebondissement de ce vendredi. We believed then the soap Marouane Chamakh permanently closed until the last rebound this Friday. L'attaquant marocain devrait étudier cette nouvelle offre avec beaucoup d'attention et pourrait finalement réaliser son rêve d'évoluer en Premier League. The Moroccan striker should consider this new offer very carefully and could finally realize his dream to evolve in the Premier League. On devrait en savoir plus ce week-end après le choc de la 4ème journée de Ligue 1 entre l'Olympique de Marseille et les Girondins de Bordeaux , dimanche soir au stade Vélodrome (21h00). We should know more this weekend after the shock of the 4th day of Ligue 1 between Olympique Marseille and Girondins Bordeaux on Sunday night at the Velodrome stadium (21h00).
